2. Begin Implementation of the Oklahoma Afterschool Quality Standards
The Oklahoma Afterschool Quality Standards (OAQS) were developed with the input and expertise of statewide thought leaders in the field of youth development. Representatives from public and private schools, community organizations, foundations, government, industries and business took part in drafting, piloting and implementing these standards to serve a wide variety of expanded learning programs.
The OAQS can be downloaded in their entirety, or accessed by section at this link.
3. Identify and Implement Assessment Tools
OKAN can assist programs in identifying the appropriate assessment tools at both the program and student levels.
