Panthers Rallying In Development Enrichment
This week I traveled to Del City Elementary to check out what awesome things they were doing in afterschool!
It was awesome! By 3 P.M. the halls were buzzing with students anxious to start thier afterschool afternoon. P.R.I.D.E. students have the opportunity to engage in small reading and math groups to practice team building, communication, and problem solving skills. Students also have the chance to showcase thier skills in a plethora of activities, one program in particular is the Drama Club! Students who participate in drama are taught the basics of stage direction, set design, performance, and theater. Del El has found that offering drama to young students builds their self-confidence, public speaking and team building skills. Another positive outcome is that the club begins to spark an interest in positive activities that students can look forward to participating throughout their education. Click here to read more.
