Saturday, January 10 was the 7th Annual Dove Science Fair. Students proudly displayed and presented their various projects (and demonstrations) for judges and parents to view.
OKAN had the privilege of judging eight fourth grade projects. The projects explored many topics, including effective handwashing, explosive volcanoes, and the growth process for mealworms. Students have been working on their projects for the past two months, with the help from family or teachers. Students were required to research their topic online, formulate and test their hypothesis, and create a presentation board. Furthermore, students were required to write about the different applications of their project. The effort and enthusiasm put into each project was evident as students presented their topics and findings to judges. First, second, and third place awards were given for each grade level, as well as an “Outstanding Scientist” award. It was wonderful to see all of the budding scientists at Dove Academy and to be a part of the Science Fair!
